Robert C. Byrd, Roosevelt-Wilson, Washington Irving, and Kelly Miller High Schools Alumni & Friends Foundation

What began in 1995 as providing one, $500 scholarship to a graduating senior at Robert C. Byrd High School has turned into a growing program that has awarded over $1 million in awards to deserving students.

Scholarship monies are donated from alumni, former graduating classes from one or more of the alumni high schools or in memory of an alum or former educator. 

Each year at a spring banquet, deserving students are recognized and presented with their scholarship. Donors, alumni, family and friends attend this banquet.

All former classmates of Roosevelt-Wilson, Washington Irving, Kelly Miller and Robert C. Byrd High Schools, as well as teachers, friends, and businesses are encouraged to join the Alumni and Friends Foundation.

​The annual membership fee is $15 or one can secure a life membership for $200.00.
